Since it was founded in 2008, Ervin Stainless in Sprockhövel has enjoyed consistent success in producing and selling our stainless steel abrasives AMACHROME and AMAGRIT. In 2024, a new chapter has begun, with significant investment in the manufacturing plant to expand capacity of all our products to meet customer demand.

Despite all the economic and global adversities of recent years, Ervin Stainless has continued to grow year after year. The consistently high quality of our stainless steel blasting abrasives, which are manufactured exclusively in Sprockhövel, has long been recognised worldwide and ensures the highest quality delivering the best economic efficiency to our customers.

Our constant endeavour to consistently deliver the best quality backed up by our technical service, which is included in our product prices and offers real added value for our customers, has made Ervin Stainless a global market leader in stainless steel abrasives.

This continued success has encouraged us to invest in expanding our production capacity even in an increasingly challenging environment. In September of this year, we have commissioned two completely new melting furnaces, which will enable us to meet the increasing demand for our products and continue to ensure short delivery times that our customers appreciate.

We have also recently invested in expanding our production capacity for AMAGRIT, an angular stainless steel abrasive that is in high demand. Two additional crushing plants are currently being commissioned.

Our fully automatic abrasive mixer has been in operation since the beginning of the year. The customised mixes of round and angular blasting abrasives successfully introduced under the product name AMAMAX are customised in this mixer according to customer specifications.

The consistently high quality of Ervin Stainless is winning more and more customers, as we demonstrate how our products reduce the overall cost of their blasting operations.

Gföllner, for example, has succeeded in achieving a process improvement with AMAGRIT and thus a significant cost saving compared to the mineral blasting abrasives previously used. You can read the full case study here.

Using many examples from actual customer applications, we have been able to demonstrate the enormous savings potential that results from switching from significantly more expensive blasting abrasives made of chrome-nickel alloys to our AMACHROME product – especially when blasting aluminium die-cast and sand-cast parts.
